Picking a TVS TRU4 oil for your bike

Every TVS TRU4 oil we list is 10W-30. For geared motorcycles there's TRU4 Premium (semi-synthetic) and TRU4 Synthetic (full synthetic, in both 1L and 1.2L packs). SKUUTA is the scooter oil: it's JASO MB, so keep it out of wet-clutch motorcycles. For your model, check the API/JASO rating and the refill amount in the manual, and measure as you pour.

  1. Range 1 · Semi-synthetic

    TVS TRU4 Premium

    TRU4 Premium is the semi-synthetic motorcycle product, separate from fully synthetic TRU4 Synthetic. SKUUTA also carries 10W-30 but is a JASO MB scooter oil. The shared TVS brand and grade do not make all three suitable for the same engine.

    SKUUTA is TVS’s JASO MB scooter oil, separate from TRU4 Premium and Synthetic motorcycle oils. Check your scooter’s exact manual and refill amount. Engine oil and separate final-drive or gear oil have different applications; follow the specification for each housing.

Which grade do you need?

Open your bike’s manual and buy the grade it names. The number before the W (10W, 20W) tells you how freely the oil moves on a cold start; the number after the dash (30, 40, 50) tells you how thick it stays once the engine is hot.

Hot rating SAE 30, cold rating 10W. Fine when your manual lists 10W-30 and the bottle’s API/JASO marks match what it asks for.
