The Motul range includes HC-Tech 3000 Plus, Technosynthese blends such as 3100 Gold and 5100, fully synthetic 7100, racing-focused 300V and Scooter LE for automatic scooters. Check the grade and API/JASO requirements in your manual first, then compare formulations and bottle sizes.

Motul 3000 4T Plus
HC-Tech identifies the 3000 Plus technology; it should not be re-labelled as fully synthetic without product-specific evidence. Compare the 10W-30, 10W-40 and 20W-40 versions by the complete grade. Scooter LE is a different scooter range, even where 10W-30 matches.

Motul Scooter LE 4T
Scooter LE is the HC-Tech scooter range, not the MA2 motorcycle 3000 Plus. This 10W-30 listing carries JASO MB and comes in an 800 ml pack. Match the scooter manual’s grade, clutch specification and refill quantity separately.
Rated: API SL, JASO MB / Base: HC-Tech
Which grade do you need?
Open your bike’s manual and buy the grade it names. The number before the W (10W, 20W) tells you how freely the oil moves on a cold start; the number after the dash (30, 40, 50) tells you how thick it stays once the engine is hot.
- 10W-30
- Hot rating SAE 30, cold rating 10W. Fine when your manual lists 10W-30 and the bottle’s API/JASO marks match what it asks for.
- 20W-40
- Hot rating SAE 40, same as 10W-40; only the cold rating differs. Use it if 20W-40 is on your manual’s list of allowed grades.
