Picking a Castrol oil for your bike
Our Castrol listings include Activ for geared motorcycles, Activ Scooter for automatic scooters and fully synthetic Power1 Ultimate. Activ formulations and packaging can vary by country, so match the grade and API/JASO markings on the bottle you receive to your manual.

Castrol Activ 4T
Activ motorcycle oils vary by grade and market. Synthetic Technology on the label alone does not confirm a fully synthetic or semi-synthetic classification. Compare the actual formulation information and API/JASO markings, and distinguish Activ 4T from Activ Scooter.
Base: Actibond, Synthetic Technology label
- Range 2 · Fully syntheticfrom৳1,350
Castrol Power1 Ultimate 4T
Power1 Ultimate is Castrol’s fully synthetic motorcycle range. Activ and Activ Scooter are separate products, even when a grade overlaps. Compare the formulation and full label specification; do not infer an extended service interval from the premium range name.
Rated: API SN, JASO MA2 / Base: Fully synthetic, 5-in-1 formula

Castrol Activ Scooter 4T
Activ Scooter is the scooter-specific 10W-30 product with JASO MB. Activ 4T motorcycle oil is a different range. Check the 1 litre pack against the scooter’s refill quantity; a full bottle is not an instruction to fill the entire litre.
Rated: API SN, JASO MB / Base: Actibond, Synthetic Technology
Which grade do you need?
Open your bike’s manual and buy the grade it names. The number before the W (10W, 20W) tells you how freely the oil moves on a cold start; the number after the dash (30, 40, 50) tells you how thick it stays once the engine is hot.
- 10W-30
- Hot rating SAE 30, cold rating 10W. Fine when your manual lists 10W-30 and the bottle’s API/JASO marks match what it asks for.
- 10W-40
- Hot rating SAE 40, cold rating 10W. The same numbers on two bottles don’t make them interchangeable: a motorcycle oil and a scooter oil can share this grade.
- 20W-40
- Hot rating SAE 40, same as 10W-40; only the cold rating differs. Use it if 20W-40 is on your manual’s list of allowed grades.
- 20W-50
- Hot rating SAE 50, the thickest here. If your manual says a 30 or 40 oil, summer heat or a high odometer reading isn’t a reason to move up to 50.
